Only one year after releasing its quarterly literary journal Paradigm, Rain Farm Press has been met with unexpected acclaim, participation, and submissions from all around the world. The art and literary community has responded, almost quadrupling the journal’s traffic since its first issue. Liking tending to a dying vine, Rain Farm Press has taken great care in cultivating a literary community via their journal, blog, and events.
On December 8, 2007, Rain Farm Press will release its first Paradigm anthology—a collection of the journal’s best fiction, nonfiction, poetry, as well as interviews, from the past year. Entitled Paradigm, Vol. 1, the anthology will include works exclusively from previous Paradigm contributors.
Over the past four issues, Paradigm has showcased works from award-winning authors, bestselling novelists, celebrated singer-songwriters, and a Pulitzer Prize-nominated poet—all of whom share the stage with new, less-established talents mined by Rain Farm Press.
In addition to works from previous contributors, the anthology will also feature exclusive interviews with esteemed scholar Stephen Greenblatt, Emmy-nominated TV personality and artisan Michael Chiarello, singer-songwriters Vienna Teng and Glen Phillips, and the much-revered movie poster illustrator Drew Struzan, among others.
Paradigm, Vol. 1 starts shipping December 15th. (Online e-books are available now.) The retail price for paperbacks is $18, while e-books go for $8.
