Light at the Edge of Darknessis a compilation of 28 short stories, including 3 novelettes that cover the speculative fiction spectrum from horror and spiritual thriller to sci-fi to fantasy. Headlining the anthology is “Undeniable,” a riveting and chilling tale from Canadian  horror writer, A.P. Fuchs. Also included are Frank Creed's cyberpunk, Donna Sundblad's sci-fi, and Daniel I Weaver's spiritual thrillers.
"When forced to the edge of darkness, there’s only one way back: embrace the Light.Light at the Edge of Darknesstells storieswritten from a Christian world view intended to inspire and entertain readers. Several sub-genres of spec-fic are showcased including horror, science fiction, distopia, fantasy, time travel, supernatural. The stories have been organized into subgenres with some versatile authors writing in more than one category. You will read the serious, the light, the parody, and the heart-stopping:
· venture to futures where religious "Terrorists" smuggle frozen embryos to save lives and resist technologies designed to break their souls;
· explore dying alien worlds scouring the galaxies for hope;
· get abducted and discover the universe’s secrets or the trial of a lifetime;
· escape inbred captors through a haunted labyrinth;
· survive a house where nightmares walk, or settle in for a martyr's tribulation;
· join an epic quest through the ridiculous, cross swords with monsters, sneak a glimpse at heaven, and traverse the planes where angels and demons tread.
Follow these tales and more to the edge of darkness, to the brink of despair, and then bask in the Savior’s redeeming Light."

An introspective and eclectic anthology of dark, speculative tales musing on what lurks in the shadows, and the love of a Savior who rescues us from them. —

David Brollier's Review
Immerse yourself in a collection of Christian Speculative Fiction that you will never
forget.  LIGHT AT THE EDGE OF DARKNESS, edited and compiled by Cynthia
MacKinnon is nothing short of a gathering of the masters.
In some tales the events are so graphic you may want to keep this away from young
children.  In others the events may seem silly or filled with so much love it can hardly be
contained.  If you've never read speculative fiction before you need to treat yourself to
this collection of wonders.  In fact, even if you have read speculative fiction this book
belongs on your shelf as well.
I make the following challenge.  I dare you to read this book and come away feeling that
Christians are somehow weaker, less intelligent, more timid or unimaginative.  Go
ahead.  Read this book.  I dare you.  I dare you to find Christianity so marvelously
described as here, other than the Bible.
I dare you to read LIGHT AT THE EDGE OF DARKNESS and not come away with a
special appreciation for the writers, their stories, Christianity and what it means to be a
true follower of Christ.  -  David Brollier; author of THE 3RD COVENANT
